Do you have a passion for creating homemade baked goods or want to learn more about this delicious art form? This group is for you!
For the Love of Baking is an instructor-led class with a demonstration on how to make a specific baked good each month. At the end of the class we’ll enjoy the finished product! The group will meet once a month in the AIWC kitchens.
AIWC member Beth Ann, long-time wine educator and vineyard owner will lead us through a tasting of wine varietals. Learn how to identify the various aromas and flavors in the wines and how the regional terroir and wine-making techniques affect these flavors and aromas. A small fee will charged to cover the cost of the wine. All wine lovers welcome - no experience required! Future seminars might include, but not limited to: New World vs Old World wines, Fortified Wines, Regional Wine, Food Wine Pairing, and Sparkling Wines.
We are a group of women who love taking photographs and catching up on news. Anyone interested in photography is welcome and it doesn’t matter what kind of camera you have. We meet once a month to take photographs, and subsequently show our work on the Club's photo wall. We also try to go to exhibitions, as well as share tips and learn from each other.
.Luisa will provide all materials to guide you through a project that uses every day materials to create something new. There is no charge for these classes, however, there will be a donation jar to cover supplies All materials is provided.
Do you love to work with pins and needles? This activity is for those who work in any needle craft, including sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and more. There is no instruction. Just come and work on your project in the company of other women who love to do needle work. Share tips and learn from others. Please bring your own projects and supplies to complete during this group (though we do have a sewing machine members can use).
Calling all foodies! This activity is organized by a group of members who focus on international cuisine. We'll cover recipe preparation, themed cooking (including those with special diet considerations), gadget discoveries, restaurant visits, and more. Our regular meetings take place each 2nd Thursday of the month. Everyone is welcome. If you love to eat and love to talk about food, please join us!
Come join us as we get creative with paper. All the materials and tools are provided to make a fabulous paper craft project. During our time together, the leader will walk you step-by-step on how to use the tools and finish our project. Angie has a passion for paper and loves to share her knowledge.
We meet once or twice a month to experience interesting art exhibitions around Switzerland, concerts, and other cultural events. The outing is usually followed by lunch or coffee.
