Join us on the 3rd Thursday of each month as we explore private gardens around Switzerland and neighboring France.  Selected gardens are generally within a 2hr driving radius of Geneve.  We have carefully chosen private gardens (ie not public parks) classified ‘exceptional’.

This second AIWC Garden Visit will be to the spectacular gardens of the Chateau de Vullierens (https://chateauvullierens.ch)  at 10:30.  Located on the hills above Morges, and 1 hour from Geneva using public transportit is home to one of the largest collections of irises in Europe and arguably the best private garden in Suisse Romande. The timing of our visit should enable us to see a large portion of the 50000 iris in bloom.  Additionally, there are historical sites of interest, numerous sculptures dotted throughout the gardens, a gift shop with free tasting of the domaine‘s wines, an art gallery and a lovely garden cafe. ( https://chateauvullierens.ch/gastronomie-et-vins/cafe-des-jardins/ ).

Entry to the garden is Chf 15 pp (for groups over 10, this drops to Chf 10 pp) payable on the day.  After the visit we can stop at the cafe for a light lunch or coffee & cake. Picnics are not allowed in the gardens.

If there are more than 15 registrants, we will divide into 2 groups to comply with Swiss Covid -19 regulations.

Registration is necessary and places are limited. Regiser today!

Once you register, a confirmation email will immediately be sent to you with meeting information, travel details and Carolyn's contact information. If you don't receive confirmation, please check that you have hit "confirm" at the end of the registration process.
