Monday Adventure Hiking Group @ Various

Our new Monday adventure hiking group will meet every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month and is limited to 10 registrants.

This group will allow participants to see new parts of Switzerland and experience many photo worthy views! The group will be taking  3+ hour moderately paced hikes on moderate/hard trails outside of the Canton of Geneva, requiring public transport. The hikes will not be pre-scouted like Friday hikes and will require an all day commitment. This is not a summit seeking group. Come explore the trails with us!

Once you register, a confirmation email will be sent to you with contact information for the Monday Adventure Hiking Group and /or hiking details. A further email will be sent to registered participants on Sunday evening by 18:00 with the final details.

No later than Wednesday morning, information about the hike is posted in the Monday Adventure Hiking Group Forum. Visit our Activities Update page in order to see hike details and subscribe to receive hiking notification emails in your inbox. Select to receive notification emails immediately in your personal profile to avoid missing any last-minute information about the hike. 

Swiss Federal and Cantonal regulations will always be followed.

1. Masks must be worn on public transportation.
2. If a member has traveled within 10 days before the hike to any country considered a risk under Swiss Federal and Cantonal regulations, they must quarantine and may not join the hike.
3. Walkers are requested to maintain a 1.5-metre distance between themselves and other walkers. To facilitate this, we suggest walking in pairs (two persons, side by side), only. If this distance can't be maintained, please wear a mask.
4. A list of the hikers participating on a hike along with contact details  will be kept for two weeks after the hike for contact and tracing purposes.

General Information and Guidelines: updated 29, October 2020

1.  Monday Adventures are open to all AIWC members.
2. Adult guests are allowed (once per guest) and must be announced in advance  when registering for the hike. We welcome fellow women only as guests. 
3. Children are not allowed on hikes.
4. Dogs and other pets are not allowed on hikes.
5. Hikes are 3+ hours and  an all day committment is necessary in order to participe. 
6. Hikes are generally outside the canton of Geneva  and are mostly reached using public transport. 
7. Hikes are led by volunteer leaders who will supply all the necessary information  about the hike the evening before the hike.
8. Hikers are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing and shoes and for bringing all necessary equipment and supplies, particularly water and snacks.
9. Participants are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing and must follow the instructions provided by hike leaders.
10. The AIWC declines responsibility for the loss of personal property.
