Registration

Registration is closed

WAITING LIST AVAILABLE! If we get another ten people to sign up on the waiting list, we can enter a fifth AIWC team!

Join one of our virtual Steps for CancerSupport teams to raise money for the English Speaking Cancer Association (ESCA CS) in Geneva. Keep in mind that virtual means you can participate where ever you are in the world!

This walking challenge uses the Pacer app on your phone which records (or synchs from a smart watch) each participant's steps on a daily basis. The teams of ten, gently compete against each other. It's a fun activity open to your family and friends over 16 years old! We will create team Whatapp groups and Sara will be organizing some extra ESCA CS walks that we can do together.

When you register,  indicate how many average, daily steps you would like to accomplish. We'd like to create teams with similar goals.

In order to help you understand the amount of time or distance these steps take,  the following is an indicator. It's the steps that count.

15,000 steps = about  10 Km, >2hrs

10,000 steps = about 6 Km, 1hr30

5,000 steps = about 3 Km, 45 minutes

The Steps for CancerSupport Challenge 2023 runs for 20 days between May 4 and May 23. More information coming soon!

Our entry fees of CHF 250 per team, along with any other donations we can raise go toward ESCA CancerSupport's efforts that have been helping families in Geneva for over twenty years.

More information about 2023 Steps challenge can be found on the ESCA CancerSupport webpage here.

When you register for the challenge, you will need to provide a unique email for you and your guests. These emails will be given to ESCA CS who will directly send the Steps for CancerSupport Pacer link to each participant. You will be required to download the Pacer application in order to participate since this is how ESCA CS will record your steps. You'll be able to follow your team's progress (no personal names will be published) and get your friends to donate to the challenge on the Leaderboard page. The great thing about this app is that it is not tracking your GPS location so you can record your steps without roaming. However, you should sync at the end of the day on wifi.
