This month's theme: The Wines of Northwest Italy
Northwest Italy, one of the most exciting wine regions of Italy, is only a few hours’ drive from Geneva. Stretching from the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to the foothills of the Alps, this region produces a myriad of well-known and lesser-known red and white wines. Come learn about grape varieties like Nebbiolo, Barbera, Arneis, Vermentino and Cortese and taste a selection of wonderful wines from regions like Piedmont, Liguria, Valle D’Aosta and Lombardy.
AIWC club member Beth Ann Dahan, long-time wine educator and vineyard owner will lead us through a tasting of a variety of wines. All wine lovers welcome – no experience or prerequisite required!
The cost of this course will be CHF 15-20 to cover the cost of the wines. Please bring this to the class and pay directly to Beth Ann.
The Wine Tasting Seminars will take place at different times over the course of the year. Each class is a stand-alone class.
Future seminars might include, but not limited to: New World vs Old World wines, Fortified Wines, Regional Wine Seminars, and Food Wine Pairing.
