Colis du Coeur provides food and hygienic products for free to people in precarious situation. The distribution is customized to allow families from 3000 homes to choose what they need.
We will help to replenish the shelves of their distribution center.

This month's theme: Easter Brunch
Thinking ahead to your Easter brunch! Calling all baking enthusiasts, this group is for you! This is an instructor-led class, and this month Katherine will demonstrate how to make both a delicious (savory) upside-down cake and a veggie-heavy oatmeal bar. Classes are limited to 12 participants and registration is already open.
Because this class must limit the number of people who can come, registration opens two weeks before the class.

Do you have a passion for creating homemade baked goods or want to learn more about this delicious art form? This group is for you!
For the Love of Baking is an instructor-led class with a demonstration on how to make a specific baked good. At the end of the class we’ll enjoy the finished product! The group will meet once a month in the AIWC kitchen.

Do you love working with pins and needles? This activity is for those who work in any needle craft, including sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and even clothes repair. There is no specific instruction but lots of discussion and we are also happy to help you gain confidence with your practice! Come work on your project in the company of other women who love to do needlework while chatting.

Activity Leader - Raji
Pilates with Claudia! This one hour Pilates class, is an effective full-body workout with body awareness, improving muscle strength, coordination & flexibility. The focus is on coordinating breathing together with controlled movements. This class is recommended for all levels.
Registration opens two weeks before the class. Pilates and Yoga are very popular classes so please sign up for one or the other in order to give all our interested members an opportunity to join a class.
In this weekly class, we meet to chat in Spanish and discuss Spanish literature at an advanced level.

Thursday, April 3: Volunteers will be needed on Drop Off Day to help set up the Club, check in Sellers, quality-check items and help sort clothes into areas by size and gender. There may be some lifting involved.
Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5: For the days of the sale we will need volunteers for general tidying up during and after the sessions. After the sale, we will need to sort any remaining items either for donation or to return to sellers, who will need to come after the end of the Resale if they are not donating.
Sunday, April 6: Tidying up the Clubrooms for normal Club activities. Boxing up donated items for charity pick-up.

Calling all movie lovers! Join us once a month to watch a movie with other club members in a local cinema followed by discussion of the movie over a glass of wine or a coffee in a nearby café. We will choose movies either in English or with English subtitles that are screening on a Monday afternoon or early evening depending on showtimes.

It's that time of the year to register for the Steps for Cancer Support Challenge!
For those of you who are new to this event, each year the AIWC creates virtual teams of 10 people to participate in a 20-day steps challenge. Our entry fee goes directly to helping fund CancerSupport Switzerland.
Don't be overwhelmed with the following information. Sara and Christine will be able to help you.
The registration process has changed, so carefully read the following:
5,000 steps = about 3 Km, 45 minutes
10,000 steps = about 6 Km, 1hr30
15,000 steps = about 10 Km, >2hrs
3. On Thursday, April 3, you will be notified about your team. At this time you will be given instructions on how to register directly with CancerSupport Switzerland, join your team, and pay CHF 35. You will have one week to do this.
4. Before the Challenge begins, download the Pacer app onto your phone. You do not need a Smart Watch. The Pacer App will record your steps on your phone, or sync from a smart watch. As the day progresses (wherever you are in the world) team steps are tallied, informing you of where your team is placed relative to others, thus creating a gentle competition.
The Steps for Cancer Support Challenge 2025 runs for 20 days between May 8-27.

The AIWC helps with the biannual collection of food in Geneva's grocery stores which are then sent to a central warehouse and distributed amongst 53 different charities in Geneva.
Limited French is ok. You just need to be able to greet people with a smile, pass out bags, ask for donations and collect bags.
There are five different time slots, feel free to fill one or several of them! We are aiming to have two people per time slot.
